I'm thinking of making a TV show like this. We'll get a bunch of random martial arts black belts, and test their blocks. They will mostly be useless. Then in 5 minutes we'll teach them how to successfully and efficiently block single punches, in a way that works! Then we do another formal test, and see the difference.
Then in 1 hour we'll teach them how to block multiple random punching combinations, blind-folded (by teaching them sticking hands).
We should probably conceal the identity of the students so as not to make their schools or teachers look bad on TV.
MARTIAL ARTS Black Belt Volunteers Wanted! To show off moves on TV With identity concealed
What we want to do next is we want to try and show you how to do our style of block. In the next 5 minutes we just want to see how easily you can adopt our method of blocking. Do you think it's something you could have a go at?
We've just taught you how to block a fast, simple punch, in 5 minutes. That's what the show's all about. The show's actually called, Teach a Black Belt How to Block; and the next part is how to do it blind-folded. Your identity is concealed; it's not going to look bad on you, it's not going to look bad on your school, it's not going to look bad on your teacher. It's just about making a good TV show at the end of the day. We'd completely understand if you want to call it a day now. But the next part of the show is about self defense when blind-folded. We'd like to spend the rest of the hour (until x o'clock) trying to teach you how to block combinations of random punches when blindfolded. Are you happy to continue?
